Describe the Indescribable
We'll focus on one single skill or mental model that you''d like others to learn.
Then, using our unique modelling processes, we'll work to find the murky, hard to describe center of that skill or mental model and put that into words, recorded for the podcast.
We'll share teach the skill or model to others, and include their stories in the podcast as well.
Finally, (if you give permission), we'll create a short video lesson teaching the skill or model. 20% of the profits from that lesson will go to the charity of your choosing.

What is Intentional?
Intentional is a podcast where we interview people (like you!) and model one ability or mental model that others would find valuable. Then, we teach it to others, and interview them about their experience.
Finally, we edit all the interviews together into one coherent narrative that shows why you would want to learn this ability or model, and breaks down every component of it.
We'll even turn your ability or model into a set of short videos, that people can purchase if they want more than is included in the podcast!
We're interested in teaching others your ability or models!
Wait, you create lessons from these interviews? How does that work?
First, we only do that if you give permission! With your permission, we'll turn the information from your podcast into a beautiful set of short videos that teach people how to internalize the ability or skill.
If people buy them, 20% of the profit will go to a charity of your choosing!
How long does the interview typically take?
The interview typically takes around 2 hours, plus a half hour followup weeks later. Here's how that breaks down:
- 10 Minutes finding the correct "level of abstraction" to focus on for your skill or mental model.
- 20 Minutes understanding your "heroes journey" related to that skill or model
- 1.5 hours "modelling" that skill or model.
After the initial interview:
- 2 - 4 weeks of having our testers internalize and test that model or ability.
- 30 minutes followup interview after they're done, covering any issues they ran into.
How large is your audience?
We haven't launched yet! Very small initially :).
What if I don't know how to explain my ability or mental model in an understandable way?
Great question! The good news is, that's not your job, that's my job! I've spent a bunch of time studying frameworks that can help people to explain models and abilities they themselves don't understand.
Here's a case study of how I helped an event planner understand how she created impactful events.
How do I choose an ability or mental model?
Ask yourself these questions:
- What's something I do well?
- What's something others complement me on being good at or doing well?
- What's something where I frequently get frustrated that others can't do or understand things in the way I can?
Just come up with a general idea, and we'll hone in on a specific skill or model during the interview.
