Chris Amos
I'm a salon owner and educator with a strong desire to see our industry grow. I founded Chapters Hair in 1980 and 30 years on it employs 16 stylists and turns over more than 1 million each year.
When I started out, I knew very little. In fact, I left school with no qualifications.
I started a business and immediately realised that there was a gap in my business knowledge so big you could drive a tank through it.
So, I went to night school. Working through the day and cramming at night - not an approach I would recommend - it was exhausting.
But it taught me something I've carried with me all my life - the key to building a successful salon is learning.

Richard Wallace
I'm a salon owner (Richard Wallace Hair), an educator and passionate champion of our industry. My salon has a 7-figure turnover and employs 12 stylists and we were lucky enough to win Salon of the Year 2017.
But getting there was not easy. In fact, 12 years ago I nearly lost everything.
I learned some lessons the hard way and some through hard work and luck.
No one should have to learn the way I did or feel that running a salon is a struggle. This is why I'm here to help you succeed and avoid the pitfalls that claim so many salon owners.
