ABOUT THE TYLERS
At Fiddlewood Farm, our vision is to foster a vibrant community where individuals of all ages can learn, grow, and connect with God through nature. Through hands-on activities and workshops, we aim to inspire a deeper appreciation for agriculture and restore the joy of being outdoors.
In 2020, we moved to our first property in Philpot, Kentucky to raise a few animals and get a dog. Little did we know that God had a different plan for our property. Since that time, we have been offering Fiddlewood Farm & Forest School, which started as a program for 3-4 year-olds and has expanded with our growing family to now offering an extensive program for homeschoolers ages 4-13.
In 2023, we moved to our now home where we have expanded our livestock and agricultural operations to include Southdown Babydoll Sheep, Katahdin Sheep, Angora Goats, Chickens, and many other beautiful animals that grace our lives every day. We are striving to provide locally grown medicinal herbs and honey, as well as registered breeding stock and quality meat products to our community.
Shelly has her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and is a Functional Wellness Practitioner. John Mark is a Doctor of Chiropractic. Together, they have utilized their skills in small business to make this farm thrive, and love bringing health, joy and happiness to the community around them.
Shelly has completed the Small Ruminant Profit School through Kentucky, Annie's Project, Kentucky's Master Naturalist Program, and Master Grazing Programs. She is currently studying to become a Certified Clinical Herbalist and Aromatherapist.
Farm life has not been easy, but Oh, has it been rewarding!
