Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our seagull prevention system
About Our Solution
How does it actually work?
Our system uses seagulls' natural territorial behavior. When they see what appears to be an established nest, they'll avoid the area completely. It's like putting a "No Vacancy" sign on your boat that only seagulls can understand.
Is this humane?
Absolutely! Our solution simply redirects seagulls to nest elsewhere. There's no harm, no chemicals, and no distress to the birds. It's completely natural behavior modification.
Will it work on my boat?
Yes! Our system works on all types of boats - sailboats, motor boats, yachts, you name it. If seagulls can see the nest, it will work.
Installation & Usage
How many nests do I need?
For boats up to 30ft, one nest is usually sufficient. Larger boats (over 30ft) benefit from two nests to ensure complete coverage. The key is visibility - seagulls need to spot it from above.
Where should I place the nest?
Place the nest on a flat, stable surface where seagulls would naturally want to nest. This is typically somewhere with good visibility and enough space around it for chicks to walk around.
How long does it take to install?
Installation takes about 5 minutes - just place the nest in position. That's it! No tools or special skills required.
Timing & Effectiveness
When should I install it?
Install before nesting season starts (early spring). However, it's never too late - the system will help prevent future nesting even if you've had problems before
How long does it last?
Our nests are built to withstand marine conditions and will last for multiple seasons. There's no maintenance required - just check it's still in place occasionally.
Legal & Safety
Is this legal?
Yes, completely legal! Our system prevents nesting through natural deterrence. It doesn't harm or disturb the birds, which is what wildlife protection laws are concerned with.
